Teleport’s editing tools let you manually reorient (rotate) and rescale your 3D capture directly in the browser. This is especially useful when a floor isn’t level, an object appears skewed, or a capture's true-to-life scale isn't quite right and requires adjustment — essential for accurate VR viewing or dimensional reference. Once saved, your changes are applied for all viewers, ensuring a consistent experience across devices and sessions.
How to Reorient Your Capture
- Open your capture and click the ‘Edit Capture’ button (pencil icon, bottom-right).
- Hovering your mouse to the bottom of the window and on the Toolbar, click ‘Reorientate’.
- Click ‘Place Gizmo’ to activate the 3D rotation tool.
- Use the curved lines of the Gizmo to rotate your scene as needed.
- Click 'Save' to apply your new orientation.
How to Rescale
- Repeat Steps 1 - 3 from above.
- Once the Gizmo is visible, adjust scale by pressing either the ‘+’ or ‘-’ keys on your keyboard.
- Note: Using Shift + key will not affect scale.
- Click ‘Save’ to apply scale changes.
Quick Scale Adjustment (Optional)
If you just need to adjust scale quickly temporarily without saving your changes:
- Click the ‘Edit Capture’ button (pencil icon, bottom-right).
- Click ‘Debug’ > Settings in the Toolbar.
- Use the Scale slider in the right-hand menu to fine-tune your scene’s dimensions.
- Note: This will NOT SAVE your scale changes once closed or refreshed. To change scale with changes, please follow Step 2 of ‘How to Rescale’
