What are Portals?

Portals in Teleport let you create seamless transitions between multiple captures, connecting spaces together through interactive, wormhole-style pathways. Instead of switching between links or breaking the experience, viewers can now move fluidly between interconnected rooms or environments — all in the same tab. Portals open up new ways to build immersive walkthroughs, tell uninterrupted stories, and connect your captures into one living space.

How to Set Up a Portal

Setting up a Portal between two captures is simple:

  1. Open your captures → Launch two (or more) Teleport captures in separate browser tabs.
  2. Start editing → In your first capture, click the ‘Edit Capture’ button (pencil icon, bottom-right) to open the Toolbar.
  3. Place your Portal → Fly your view close to where you'd want to place the Portal.
    1. Hover your mouse near the bottom to reveal the Toolbar, then select Portals.
    2. Click 'Add' to create your Portal and click on the text box to assign a name to your Portal.
  4. Set your destination → Switch to your second capture tab and refresh the page.
    1. Open the Toolbar, go to Portals → List, find your created Portal, and click the map pin icon to set its destination inside the second capture.
  5. Test → Return to the initial capture, refresh the page, and click on it to travel through your Portal seamlessly into the linked capture.

To create another portal back to your initial scene, simply repeat the process.

You can add as many Portals as you'd like to create multi-layered, interconnected spaces.
